I presume your flying school told you that they are mandatory, it's a single engine <5700kg, there's no such thing a a friggin 210 endo, it's just a way for flying schools being the parasites they are to leach more money out of the students.

So what would you need to do to fly a 210 if you are already endorsed on <5700kg, CSU & retract? Just read the POH so you have some clue on how to operate it? Do you need any dual instruction at all?

Well, in NZ, you need an endorsement on all Single aircraft. That means 150, 172, Tecnam etc. And, each aircraft must be learnt fairly well. As, you have to complete a question sheet on the technical side. You will have to fly couple hours. Even you you have a multi IFR rating you are still required to fly around 5 hours and maybe more on a c210 or the like, before they will give you the rating. After alll this you must fill out a form and sent it off included with a cheque for the NZ CAA

This is just for interest sake.

About 25 minutes.

Learn how to put the lever up.

Learn how to put the lever down.

Learn how to do a manual gear extension.

All done.
