I am in the middle of integrating a PC based marine charting system, AIS receiver (the equivalent of TCAS). a gyro and fluxgate compass system, a log and wind direction system ...and an autopilot - all on a yacht.

I have been both flummoxed and humbled, notwithstanding "industry standards", by the Byzantine complications involved.

Good luck RAAF and Navy. Ferchrisake stop reinventing the wheel.
