Been for a long walk on the Peak Trail in Derbys today. Some lovely sights with the snow and clear blue skies with one of the best sunsets for a long while.
I was also cheered by the continuous view of high flying jet aircraft (at least 3 or 4 in view at all times) plying their way across the skies showing clear and distinctive contrails. Nice to see that despite all the troubles in the world and our industry and all the hysterical media that them there planes are still up there - it almost seemed like a good omen for 2002. I only wished that I too was up there with them!
