First, my sympathies to all Sabena crews and employees. I am still in shock - I recall just seeing a beautiful Sabena A330 fly into New York the other week... Very sad story!

Just for clarification - is Sobelair still flying? Any crew reductions anticipated? Any likelihood that Sabena crews could get on with Sobelair?

I know that DAT is supposed to be "base" from which Sabena II is supposed to rise, but is it still operating on a full/semi-full schedule - or has it shut down as well? Do DAT crews expect reductions or do they expect to eventually get bumped by Sabena crews?

Best of luck to all involved during this AWFUL industry downturn!

Cheers

Sobelair still working but moved from BRU to avoid industrialaction.

Hope is that DAT will pick up some of the Sabena work and routes and perhaps VEX will pick some up to. Other European carriers are already picking up other routes in to BRU.

Sobelair is operating out of Liege until things quieten down at Brussels.
