A New Hope @ EK for 2009

I was wondering for those on the short call list for Emirates...Have anyone received a call for an interview?
I have been waiting for a call since 2008.
I am an North American CRJ driver.
With all the layoffs in North America, am I sinking in Emirates Quicksand before I get a chance.:ugh:

Hi,
I know somebody who did an interview recently, and accdg to Recruitment, their group will be the last until June or July 2009 comes.

He attended the interview last 16,17 and 18th Feb. And if ever he pass, the joining date falls around October 09.

Its very noticeable, that most of the attendees have wide body A/C experience / ratings.

The way the markets are at the moment, I suspect EK will allow guys in the hold pool to time expire unless they have widebody / heavy jet time. As said above, they did some assessments recently and the one guy I knew was a 767 driver.

CRJ and EMB guys.... I wouldn't hold your breath
