Are there many jobs in the ME on offer for low hour pilots?

Not a whole lot at present...low hour as in how low??? All the airlines here have websites and pretty much get better than the posted minimums...sorry I can't paint a brighter picture...

Sorry no jobs in the middle-east for those hours! Try getting an instructor rating.

And 850+ hours (with about 500 landings), increasing, on a turboprop (MTOW 29K kg)? Any luck with those numbers... :O Or are they not making exceptions to their mentioned standards on their websites...

Shorty83,

Give Falcon Express Cargo a try. They operate F27 and B1900, if I'm not mistaken.

In todays pilot market, why would airlines make exeptions to their mentioned standards? when they have piles of CVs giving chief pilots 1000s of hours pic and a current type rating on turbo or jet to select from. Now, hours in itself do not make you a good pilot. But it helps when the airlines line up candidates for assessment.

Falcon requires B1900 rating with 400 (or 500? Not sure) ME hrs, without that no chance.

Thanx highnlow (& OMDB), that puts my feet back on the ground again, you are completely right.

Reason for checking is that I am fed up with the European climate and I would like to experience long-haul. I personallly think the future looks good in the Middle East. I know a lot of people are complaining, but hey, that's why we're pilots right? :} Don't get me wrong, some stories do sound weird. :O But, in reality, it looks like I have to make more hours with my Q400 turboprop at a company where I am actually very happy...
