Hello everyone,

Just a quick question - hopefully someone will be able to give me some information. I am travelling to South Africa from the UK via Dubai in a week for a holiday and I am flying with Emirates (I wanted to fly Etihad, but unfortunately/fortunately I wasn't the person buying the tickets so...). I was wondering if there are any Emirates flight crew around that could give me an idea as to whether or not they would allow me in the cockpit for take-off or landing, or even a visit during the cruise would be good. Do they allow any of that anymore? Does ANY airline allow that anymore?

Looking forward to your replies...

Thank you kindly!

Not a chance of getting in the flight deck unless you are on the operating crew! I believe this is the same with every airline!

Etihad give Flt Deck Jumpseats to any Etihad Licenced Staff. (i.e. Pilots, Cabin Crew, Engineers)

Gulf Air has changed its policy now allowing GF pilots off duty on the jump seat.
