On a serious note it's just another downturn, just like every other downturn and upturn. If you hang in there long enough recruitment will improve again. At what personal and financial cost is really the question. Noone wants to be on $35k or something similar for 3-4 years because there is no hiring.

Heard from a few mates they have got through 2nd round for DE....are they recruiting again??? I thought they had a surplus of FO's at the moment????
