Why on earth would we want you in the UK if you are not paying tax here?

Why don't you concern yourself with the very small number of foreigners in the UK who don't contribute to the UK tax system and bleed the benefit system for all its worth!

If it is above board and legal then I quite frankly don't give two hoots as to what anyone else thinks!

If you spend more than 90 days in the UK per year then you will probably be liable for at least some UK tax. If you will be working for a UK airline then your tax will probably be deducted before your salary reaches you (known as Pay As You Earn - PAYE).

If you spend 183 days in a tax year - April the 6th to April the 5th - OR 90 days a year on average over 4 years then you are liable to UK tax.

Be very careful here. There is a case going to appeal as we speak that may change the interpretation of IR20. At the present time, it looks like you will be liable to UK taxation if you have a UK contract or work for a UK based airline. Obviously, under dual taxation agreements you will be able to offset one tax against the other.
