Hi guys, can you please confirm that the 757-200F carries containers in the cargo holds? And if so is this normal practice among cargo airlines?

I fly an ATR-72 so I have no idea.

Bins upstairs, loose load downstairs usually. DHL have sliding carpets downstairs. Hope this helps

The B757F can hold either 14 or 15 containers on the maindeck cargo area.
All B757F as well as aircraft defined as narrowbody freighters, are strictly loose load in the belly holds. Some of the aircraft may have a rectractable carpet that makes the loading/unloading easier. This basically extends or retracts as needed to make the cargo easier to load/unload.

Soon there will be A320 & A321 freighters with containerized belly hold.

Anorak mode on....The 757SFs delivered to DHL had containerised bellies. The system proved to be inefficient so was removed post delivery and the sliding carpet similar to the -300 pax aircraft was installed instead....Anorak mode off.
