View Full Version : Future OP's of JMC L1011's

Well if the Guv didn't get them who did? Are they going to be operated or parted out (after the Haj)? They MUST of been a real bargain for someone, may be a technically minded guy (fergineer) is in there with a future operational plan. A bit (or lot) of TLC is all that is required ;) (fergineer, get your tool box out of the garage mate!)

Great idea Denzil looking for the tri wings this very moment, got any of the big ones handy mate thats the ones I am missing. Sorry I am in the dark as much as you on who they have gone too, on the thread that you was chucked off, maybe its JMC but in yet another guise so that they don't lose face at having got rid of such an asset when they got rid of them from the Cale days.
Heres'to egg on the face of Just Murdered Caledonian when the Tri-Stars make a triumphant return. (well it is a rumours board aint it) :D :D :D

That will be the day matey F/E's with a screwdriver (big triwing bits only on stress panels & we don't let you guy's lose on those!!), You will be doing your own engine oils next (old one but still fun)!!!

Come on, the guv must have informed his r/h man of the results of the JMC L1011 bids

Denzil - I'm as much in the dark about this as you are; should hopefully find out on Monday. As you can appreciate we're all rather down about this - a lot of time, effort and money was spent on this bid. JMC moved the goalposts twice, to add insult to injury.

Great shame - especially as we would have been looking for L10 licenced engineers to work up at PIK!

Denzil
16th Dec 2001, 02:35
L10 engineers, I heard it was going to be subcontracted out to Polar!!

Luckily plenty of work at Bournemouth and with our Icelandic friends on the B742's ;)

You had better get some aircraft on a UK AOC quick otherwise it will be foreigners doing all the summer UK ACMI AGAIN!!

The Guvnor
16th Dec 2001, 02:38
Indeed so, Denzil - but they work on 747s, don't they - so we would have needed L10 licenced and experienced people there as well to oversee them.

Have you got my office bugged or something? ;)

Hello every one, has anybody tried Air Transat out of YMX/YUL for L-1011?? They have six aircraft standing by for work right now, and all the crews you want.
Happiness is a three holer...the DC-10 :D

Shock Horror - The Guv has an office !!

Guv - your comments in the JMC 330 thread re lack of investment on the CKT Tristars just goes to prove once again how ill-informed you are - but it is good to see you demonstrate it so frequently.
I do not know whether the individual that you name there will be at all interested in your mud slinging, but I am sure that it will be pointed out to him.

Denzil
17th Dec 2001, 04:54
Mr B at Caledonian was only held back by lack of investment by BA in the aircraft not through any lack of "liking" the L1011, not sure that it was very "PC" to use his name in this way either  Fergi should know that all the (real) engineers worked hard to keep the Cally aircraft going, a job that would of been easier but for the ex RAF "jobworth's" on the fleet.

Guvnor - Thought you were going to launch trans-Atlantic services using those aircraft. :D

What happened?

Also, I understand the airplanes were on the ground 2 years with no real interest so how come you didn't make your move before now?

Is it either;

1. You've got no money, or

2. You've got no money!

Well, Power Ranger - shows how much you know about these aircraft. They are -100 models, which are medium range variants - fine for the NE US and Canada, but you need a tech stop to go to Florida or the West Coast.

The aircraft I've been after in that context are actually -250s and -500s.

We did look at the aircraft earlier this year and in fact I went out to AUH to establish what would be required to put them back in the air.

After having been ripped off big time for the parking fees at Gamco, JMC as part of their cost-cutting exercise rightly decided to get rid of them at any price. Their agent put them out to tender and we put a bid in. We had seven figures US worth of committed financing lined up to cover maintenance and other costs.

As for Mr B - those in the know will be aware of his activities at Gamco with the then MD. I shall simply say that it appears that it was not a coincidence that the aircraft were parked there to be shortly joined therefter by himself.

Hey Guv, stop writing bovine excrement. You persist in making statements that are lies. You may have put bids in for a/c but you have never had the funds to back up your bids and the proof is in the fact that you do not have an airline and never will without a/c.

You continue to live in your Walter Mitty world and your prolific postings on this forum are testament to your inability to run anything other than your own fantasy airline. You spend more time reading and posting on this forum, pretending to be something that you never can be, namely a 'CEO', and your reputuation as an opinionated failure and a Walter Mitty is spread far and wide thereby proving the concept that if you keep digging a hole for yourself you will eventually get stuck in it. In your case I would imagine you have reached the earths mantle by now.

You persist in putting bids in for L1011s anywhere just to prevent others with more viable plans than yours from getting them. You are very good at pretending to be what you are not. There are enough people who know the real Guvnor and his deceptions. You have created companies using your real name and then applied to have your pre-adoptive name used for the company secretary which as far as I can tell is highly illegal. You have set up bank accounts using other peoples addresses and now there are agents from several banks trying to locate you in order to serve you with writs for the return of funds obtained by deception.

You continually refuse to provide ANY proof for ANY of your claimed qualifications, both aviation and educational and your sole claim to your title is as a co-director of a shady company operating in darkest Burundi where your ex co-directors have not one decent word to say about you. I just wish the moderators of this forum had the cojones to ban you as you persist in irritating just about everyone with your persistent claims about your never to be airline.

Before any of you have a go at me and defend the Guvnor, your defence had better be from a position of knowledge. Everyone I know who has ever met or had dealings with this highly intelligent but extremely devious and machiavellian character will attest to his Walter Mitty nature and more than one person who has befriended him has ended up well out of pocket with the police and lawyers knocking on their door long after he has disappeared having taken advantage of their hospitality by setting up multiple bank accounts registered to their address to be used in his fraudulent attempts to raise money for his fantasy airline.

Mention L1011's and he is guaranteed to pop up with excuses as to why he hasn't got any for his non-existent airline. Besides his cut and paste ability with news articles which are not the problem here but his comments and ideas which only serve to belittle pilots and deceive others who do not know him he is also a dangerous character. The Aouth African police would like to interview him in relation to allegations about him and his ex-girlfriends young daughter. He will huff and puff and threaten me now but I dare him to go back to South Africa (using his real name). Also he claims to have a degree in Crimilology specialising in paedophilia but has never provided any evidence of this and will not even state where he studied.

So, until this virtual guvnor can substantiate his claims he will be harassed wherever he pops up and hopefully those of you who jump in and defend him will dig a bit deeper before making fools out of yourselves. I am not asking you to like me or my posts but make very sure you know what you are defending otherwise you may end up being tarred with the same brush.

I wouldnt be at all surprised to learn that the aircraft have been sold to Gulfair - after all it would be GAMCO that would perform the maintenance.

On the subject of GAMCO, does anyone know the whereabouts of one Allan Dollie, since he left a few months ago?

Hmmm, OzDude (or should I say Bruce Hobbs) - I tend to try to ignore cr@p like yours, as people tend to put their feet in it. And yep, you've done so.

Leaving aside for one moment precisely why I should be forced to disclose lots of personal information about myself on an anonymous forum, especially to someone with no involvement in my affairs or whom I never have even met, as far as I can tell - whilst you (and others like you) hide behind your safety blankets of anonymity - I note that you've (as usual) contradicted yourself in your rambling post.

You say: You may have put bids in for a/c but you have never had the funds to back up your bids and the proof is in the fact that you do not have an airline and never will without a/c.

You then say: You persist in putting bids in for L1011s anywhere just to prevent others with more viable plans than yours from getting them.

But hang on! Didn't you just say that I don't have any money? How then can I be blocking anyone - presumably with money - from getting said aircraft? ;)

If your claim that I do not have funds in place to buy these aircraft is correct, then surely that would then simply result in any other bidder(s) with funds getting the aircraft? Or don't things work like that in your fevered imagination? ;)

I have been back to South Africa this year - without the slightest problem. Strangely, I also made contact with my ex girlfriend who denies any knowledge of any claims - and is understandably rather keen to get hold of the person or persons that have been impersonating her.

Now, you've come up with a number of malicious, untrue and therefore libellous statements about me on here so now Bruce mate you're required to provide your address for appropriate action. Or do you lack the cojones for this?

Thought so!

Leaving aside the guvnors pathetic ranting.....theres a hot rumour going around BZZ that the MOD have approached BAe about how much longer the VC10 could be extended to...PLUS a considered bid for 7 more L1011s!!! Apparently the PPI is not working out as well as expected, and 50 million to refurbish the 10s and upgrade the L1011s is cheaper than 2 billion to give to Rod or Airbus. (Scottish F/Es need not apply.....) :D

Hmmm, I see that Bruce Hobbs hasn't dared respond to my little challenge. Given what I've discovered about his past activities, I can't say that I blame him http://www.stopstart.fsnet.co.uk/smilie/tosser1.gif

Moving on...

I have discovered that JMC is selling the ex Caledonian L1011s to an Ostend based company Ducor World Airlines (formerly Liberia World). They had a couple of DC8s which were used on arms and sanctions busting flights around the world (mainly in Africa) and recently they acquired an ex LTU TriStar that had been parked for some five years. This aircraft was converted into a freighter at sister company AMG (which owns the – unlicenced – maintenance base at Ostend). A rather unusual freighter it is as well, as it doesn’t have a freighter door, and apparently during the modification process someone damaged it beyond repair. The aircraft was originally on the Bulgarian register (LZ-TPZ) and is currently on that of Equatorial Guinea – a well known ‘flag of convenience’.

I have it on good authority that it was felt that such a large aircraft would excite far less attention on illegal operations than a Boeing 707 or DC8; and of course the aircraft can carry considerably more cargo. And why no freight doors? Invariably, illicit cargoes are hand-loaded (so that they can be hand offloaded in unsophisticated conditions, where FMCs and other air cargo equipment normally found at international airports are not available).

Some background information on them from clean0stend.com

Liberia World Airlines has its main office in Gibraltar. In 1988 a Belgian company NV Liberia World Airlines Belgium was constituted, which went bankrupt in 1994. The company was co-owned by a Liberian citizen and a native of Kinshasa. The latter is now resident in a hamlet on the Franco-Belgian border. A few weeks after the bankruptcy, the Brussels-based company Westland Aviation, owned by the same person, was transferred to the Ostend Airport. The company obtained a very substantial injection of new money, fifty per cent of which was contributed by a Swiss company, Avtec AG, Basel.

Westland Aviation still operates from Ostend and had two DC8 aircraft based on that airport. One of them recently had its last authorised flight in Europe and it took the opportunity to fly to Uganda. The other Liberian-registered aircraft EL-AJO is still operational. In 1995 it was accused by Human Rights Watch (hereafter HRW) of illegal arms' transport. The Belgian authorities assured HRW that an investigation was already in progress as a result of their own information. In spite of the investigation, the same aircraft was, in August 1996, again convicted of illicit transport. The aircraft was impounded by local authorities in Goma, the Congo, after it was found to be carrying military clothing destined for Uganda and hidden under a load of relief supplies. [6]

Nevertheless until at least 2000 a great number of humanitarian flights were assigned to the same airplane EL-AJO. This means that Belgian authorities are not interested in the reports of HRW or of similar pressure groups and consequently have omitted taking preventive action. As a result, certain companies manage to make a profit from acts of war, by mixing relief supplies with military equipment.

A company closely connected with Westland Aviation, Airline Management Group, runs a hangar where, besides LWA-aircraft, other old airplanes receive maintenance or are refurbished. Whether AMG owns a maintenance licence, is not clear.

----

Anyway, Ducor World were the highest bidder and if that’s the case then JMC are in the process of preparing the relevant contracts. Now, do you think that a major public company (especially one with a huge public German parent, C&N Touristic AG) as Thomas Cook plc should have one of its subsidiaries selling off equipment that be likely to be used for the carriage of illicit arms and other sanctions busting goods?

Guvnor, you were bitter at being outbid weren't you?

I have it on good authority that you are linked to a bankrupt yourself.

Do you want to disclose the details or shall I?

If you are right about the airplanes being sold to this company it is probably no worse than them being sold to some obnoxious little fantasist with no money, no scruples and no reputation. :)

PowerRanger - I don't see any reference in there to any bankruptcy by DWA - or perhaps you know something the rest of us don't? More interesting is the fact that DWA are closely tied to one Victor Boutt ... who happens to be a very close associate of Osama Bin Laden.

Hmmm, no money, eh? Give me your identity and an email address, and if you're kosher I'd be delighted to send you over confirmation of availability of funds.

As they say, those that can, do. Those that can't, consult. What was your stated occupation again?!?
