Got into STN last night on FR908 from Cork, and experienced two extremes of customer service. Wheelchair booked for aged mother failed to appear at the stand, courtesy of Aviation Defence International, a shifty and ill-managed bunch who have taken over the wheelchair concession at STN (£18 to push a chair from terminal to steps!) Despite being at the end of a long duty day, the Captain and all the crew remained patiently and cheerfully on board for the half an hour it took to get the chair delivered. Many thanks guys and girls, if you read this, it made a great impression on us. Also interesting to think that the flight was cheaper than the wheelchair ride!. .As for the surly, defensive creature that eventually arrived with the chair, big attitude adjustment needed. No wonder ADI are ex-directory.
