Hi all,

Having learned to fly in PMB and spent time hour-building flying parachutists out of Oribi, I was shocked to hear of the C182 accident and the resulting fatality near Cato Ridge.

Does anyone have any further details?

Hey, aircraft was a 182(zs-bru) with a modified engine(300hp), happened out of cato ridge, engine failure after take off rwy 35, resulted in a forced landing in the valley at the end of the runway. pilot was a 33 year old durban man(pilot is named on avcom, he is alive, but as far as i know critical). The full story is on avcom, under the flight and safety section. Hope this helps.
