In Bahrain on a contract and it's the weekend. Wondering where air crews typically hang out..... or any other good spots for a drink.

Rockin Z's is a good live music place.
The bar in Hotel California is a dirty dive but probably the onyl one open all night.
Sherlock Holmes at Gulf Hotel is ok but excessively smokey atmos makes it really uncomfortable for non smokers.
A good all rounder is 'Fiddler's Green' in Radisson Dimplomat. Same hotel has a nice quiet spot on top floor too.
Alot of the bars have the usual smattering of "me love you long time's"...not hard to find although it never ceases to amaze me how some fellas pay 100BD / 265 USD for a clapped out, high mileage fluff with a face like Kim Jong Il and the attitude to match!

Hi,
used to layover there a week at a time back in the mid to late 90's. Does the warbler still exist. Spit and sawdust type place, but had the winning formula, beer, birds and music !.

Yessir Warbler is still here and with the same good food to boot..too many places to count for good food..nightspots few good ones lots of not-so-good..

It's called Diggers. In the Delmon International hotel, near the Gold Souk. Traditional Aussie bar where the beer's crap, they hate English people and can only talk about sport.
