Hi, I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a company that is offering student loans. I have used the search function but had no luck. I would like to start flight training from zero to CFII and I am a US resident living on the Eastern seaboard. I have looked into Sallie Mae and Utah Valley but was wondering what other options there are please.

Any replies are much appreciated.

Dont laugh, but with this economy........ Try your U.S. Army recruiter and make sure if you get a promise its in writing.

B Sousa, thank you for your reply. I have considered the military but my wife is not too keen on the idea...and you know women are always right!!

Anybody else have any suggestions please?

I second, or third in this case, the B. Sousa suggestion. There just aint really any other options at the moment. Oh yeah, keep doing the lottery too!

In USA - banks will loan you $$$ with good credit and (?) mortgage.
They rather see you get a loan for big SUV than CFII without job prospects.
The USAF/USN is still best place for quality training. Is free, and you get paid.
Sign at the recruiter's station, and hope you can be i.e. C-9 (DC9-30) pilot.
After a few years in active duty, go to the reserves.
Then the airlines will have a red carpet for you.
Let the recruiter talk to your lady, about being an Air Force or Navy wife.
