http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/cool.gif Having just returned from another trip down to the beautiful islands of the Maldives, I wondered if any pilots from Trans Maldivian Airways ever visit this site. 20th November saw me take Otter Sea-Plane 8Q-TMA from Male to Vilamendhoo, on what I can only describe as a very professional sea/air experience.

If anyone else has experienced TMA, then share your thoughts too.

Question now is, do they require Ops staff down in Male ?? :)

I've had a couple of seaplane trips down there, Male to Coco Palm and back (embarrassingly I can't remember the original name of the island, but it's down at the bottom of Baa Atol).

Very professional, great fun - the takeoff roll and landing were both a lot smoother on water than, for some reason, I thought they would be. Don't think either flight was with TMA, though. Something along the lines of Maldivian Air Taxis...?
