View Full Version : British Airways - A Bit of Compassion?

I see that the father of murdered Damilola Taylor travelled with BA from Lagos to London. According to the 'Daily Mail', he was in economy, four rows from the movie screen that he was almost certainly in no mood to watch, and was pestered by that particularly loathsome breed, the in-flight journalist.

My British airline, at least at the flight deck/cabin crew level, does all it can to offer a compassionate upgrade in such circumstances so that the bereaved person can grieve in a little bit of privacy and comfort. So what happened, BA?

If BA helped out with the economy fare, then of course I take back all of the above, except the bit about the in-flight journalist.

These flights are normally chocka, including the premium cabins. I would be very surprised if he was not upgraded with space available, especially given the presence of the journalist.
