Dont you think we need it ? I do think so .

QR getting 12 airplanes in 10 months and QR has resignation rate of 55-65 pilots/year . How to explain a good Capt from any airline that QR is better then Emirates or Etihad ? By telling its fair and nice work environment ??? Ha ha with CS telling Capt what is allowed and what is NOT ALLOWED, or with warning letter given for no wearing hat during walk around ? Its would not work i guess . But MONEY talks all language !
We just lost 3 senior Capt last month there is 8 resignation from F/o given in last 12 days . If an QR pay so good and is nice why this people left in the middle of world economy crises ? There are still airlines around which pay better or treat people better since QR is not ready to treat you better they have to pay .

recruitment having tough time getting the right people especially f/o's.
its definitely right time for a rise.when the economy rises again soon..many will resign big time.
its time for the recruitment team to put a proposal for a big increase in pay...
few more senior capt are resigning soon and atleast 20 f/o are leaving...even in bad times..imagine it will be worst in good times.

3 senior Capt :
1. Jordanian Capt A320
2.Ex Amiri F/O who was upgraded on A320 to left seat in QR
3. Malaysian Capt A330

Sorry Blacksteel you cant know it all we have over 900 pilots at the moment i know it just because i know all 3 persons .

Let's see how many pilots are transfered from 320 to 777, then the deception rate is going to be so high that many people will reconsider staying or leaving in QR, let's face it rostering is the biggest issue and on top of that there's no chief pilot to back up the fleet.
The 777 acn is one of the biggest offense to the 320 fleet, How is it possible to offer a transfer if they are short on 30 CPs?

Fubaliera

According to the 777 coordinator 138 request to transfer from the 320 fleet to the 777. he said maybe 1 or 2 a month will be transfered. He said they are recruiting same amount of people for the 320 as the 777. if we do the math its gonna be a long wait.
Its would be a lot more logical for the company to make an extra incentive to stay on the 320 fleet then pay so much in training cost for the transfers.
1. Flights at night on 320 that are turn around pay duty instead of flight time.
2.On intra gulf flight pay per sector instead of hourly.
3. Make intra gulf flights 2 and 3 day trips
4. Make Athen and Istanbul layovers.
5.For Cap who wish to stay beyond 2 years on 320 fleet guarantee and extra 10hours of pay monthly.
6.For f/o who wish to stay on 320 beyond 2 years approve promotion to senior F/O and begin the process for upgrade.
These are just some ideas of incentives that could be given to stay on the 320 fleet.
Or for anybody will to stay o the 320 long term offer the some incentives like the ones on the Amiri fleet.
Just my humble opinion, food for thought.
Cheers

Fubaleira,

I like your ideas and I am sure most 320 drivers will carry you in their hands...

But man, are you serious or just very very naive?

Fubaliera
5th Feb 2009, 21:48
Just some ideas. Even if just one of them stuck, it would be a positive step.Im not naive, just hopeful.

Fubaliera: you nr 1 remark is actually already in application in.. Air Arabia.. if i'm not wrong,i mean there.. Night Duty are paid 1,5 of the normal duty allowance...fair!
