I think it is more likely to be due to the fact of late deliveries of the 777 aircraft because of the Boeing strike and the prior problems of the galley fit outs.

QA is short 3, B777 from the origional order this year alone.. we will only have 12 by year end as opposed to the 15 planned.. thus, some routes are not able to see the light of day as yet.

what about Sao Paulo (GRU)? I heard Qr and Ey are to start flying to Brazil this year....emirates is about to start the 2nd daily flight to Sao Paulo....
