Back in 2006 a group of us decided that a fitting tribute to Sir Sydney Camm should be raised in the town where he spent his formative years, Windsor Berkshire. Consequently we formed a committee mostly populated by local councillors, ex-RAF aircrew and chaired by a BA Captain.

It was decided that a full size replica Hurricane would be a suitably impressive commemoration. Two years on we have made significant progress in that we have planning permission for siting the replica and have raised £10K towards our initial target of £50k through the generosity of two major UK aerospace firms.

The second (post replica) phase will be to found a grant or bursary in Sir Sydney's name to help provide education/training in an Aerospace discpline.

The purpose of this posting is to appeal to any Ppruners who have cine, good quality video or stills of Camm designs particulaly the Hurricane, Hunter and P1127, to which they hold the copyright. We are looking for images we can licence free of charge for promotional use as we launch our next fundrasising push. If you have anything suitable or would like further information on the project please PM me. Many thanks guys & gals.
