Amelia, starring Hillary Swank as Amelia Earhart and Richard Gere as publisher/hubby George Putnam is set for release October of 2009.

Will Amelia be as good as The Aviator? We know there are no happy endings in either - although they are similar because Hughes and Earhart both disappeared. Hughes became the invisible eccentric. Earhart dropped out of sight somewhere over the South Pacific (we think).

Swank hasn't been in a decent movie since Million Dollar Baby. Hopefully this will resurrect her career. She does bear a strong physical resemblance to Earhart.

Still, I look forwad to the premiere of Amelia. And even if the film bombs, I can still drool over Richard Gere and the Lockheed Electra. :E

Geez that's harsh!

She is a very good actor, I'm sure she would be happy with one blockbuster every two years!:ok:
