I dont know if anyone can help me but i applied for cabin crew through DALMAC for ryanair
i recieved an email inviting me to attend an recruitment day/interview
which is pretty exciting but i have heard you have to pay for training which is not very exciting as i dont want to do this!
basically i just wanna know if anyone has any information about DALMAC and if its true that you have to pay for training.

i have tried to find information about paying for training on like google and that but didnt have any luck so thought i would come on here and see if anyone can help me! if you could get back to me that would be great! thankyou.

hi.

I worked for fr for a year. and was recruited by dalmac. i went to an open day in rush and it was alot of stuff about the company, how many pax they carry a year, their future plans etc...!

theres a small interview at the end of it (well to be honest its not really an interview) i was asked if i could swim, if i could speak english (which i taut was pretty stupid seen as i was irish) and when i was available to start. when i said straight away she turned around and offered me the position straight away.

the day itself was pretty interesting, met loads of different and turns out everyone at the open day was also OFFERED a position like me (which made me think about the position alot more) there is a fee for your training however when i joined the fee was waived for 3 training groups something got to do with extra funding been allocated. i wasnt going to argue. apparently training is around 2500 which you can pay back every month through your wages.

the training is 6 weeks long, and very intense. there also very strict on grooming so be careful.

look to be honest with you fr is a very exhausting company, not very good pay and long days. HOWEVER.... i really enjoyed my time there the crew are all young, mostly all new so you will be in the same boat.!

the company gave me my experience, and now im working for a 'PROPER' airline.

Thanks for the info! i didnt really wanna pay for training because as you say the pay is crap so paying for uniform and training will make the wages drop a hell of a lot!
but like you say you now work for a ' proper ' airline, i thought well if i could get into ryanair then after a few years move on i could atleast say i worked for ryanair!

i plead with you not to go with ryanair and dalmac......i would tell you my past experiences with them but it would take too long....

i agree, the training fee is like 2 grand and u also pay 4 ur uniform which is £300, its a complete rip off,, after they take it out ur wages u come out with like £750, like minimum wage,other airlines dont charge u for this, and some even pay u, my advice? dont make the same mistake i did, go 4 an airline that doesnt charge, most of the people on my training course last yr hav left cause theyre so bad to work 4, hence y theyre always recruiting. also, u only get paid 4 when ur in the air, not on the ground, neither do u get paid if ur delayed, which is alot, 1 day i worked 12 hours but only got paid 4 6, its disgusting, i wonder how they get away with it, sorry :(

Hey everybody!

I would like to start Dalmac course in the near future (interview is already passed successfully).
In spite of some negative aspects here about FR, I really appreciate this work and would like to get it, but before to consider about this job and make a decision, I have questions to current CC, please share with your advise and experience:
- what is the real salary for juniors? I mean how much receives junior in first months NETTO after taxes and all charges? Are there strictly fixed limit of working hours per day or month, or I can easy get more hours if I request? Pls provide with real figures not MAX or average, but MIN, after all taxes and charges.
- base BGY (Bergamo) - is it easy to get it? or very big competition?

emirates is the best airline in the world, hands down! they even pay you to train! Ryanair looks to be the only airline tha charges you to train. so therefore any airline is better than ryanair
