Google's main search engine is currently identifying every site on the web as malware, according to reports in both the US and the UK.
Following a query, the world's largest search engine tags each result with the words: "This site may harm your computer:

http://regmedia.co.uk/2009/01/31/google_malware_snafu.jpg

Google: internet bad
Attempts to visit a search link are met with Google's usual malware warning:
http://regmedia.co.uk/2009/01/31/google_malware_snafu_two.jpg Do not proceed to internet

But you can still visit the internet at your own risk.
Google has been warning again use of the web for at least 45 minutes in the US and the UK. The company did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

yeah it was down for a couple of hours; now it seems to have been restored. A worldwide problem, too, because I know folks in India, the UK and the US who all had issues! Someone also commented that it may throw a potential lawsuit against them if some litigation-happy business decides to "prove" they lost some sales because of the short outage.

Hmmm. May need more thought. :hmm: And they then end up with a mysterious lack of future hits.

It was the same here in Canada yesterday and was OK by 20,00hrs but came back bad a few hours ago and is now back fine.
