How many of you lot were around when the crash happened on 03/02/59 ?

When Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens & The Big Bopper bought the farm !

I was at home that evening when the news came on Radio Lux:{

Still love the music:E:ok:

I was Square Bashing at R.A.F Wilmslow. Still listen to them on my mp4 player as an almost bald, grey old man as life will surely draw to an end.

Where did all the years go? Enjoy life while you can. You only get one chance.

I can't remember where I was as accurately as Merlinxx, but I remember a group of us discussing it with much sorrow.

Fifty years - where did it go!!

Tribute on BBC Radio Five yesterday reckoned that there are 50 unreleased Buddy Holly tracks. They played one - wasn't bad.
