Gents,
Apologies if this intrudes on the usual banter and tales of daring-do!

One of our lads brought back his x-mas box, unused and it's on e-bay to raise money for the 2 charities above.

UK Forces Christmas Box (Christmas 2008) UK4u on eBay, also British, Current Militaria 1991-Now, Militaria, Collectables (end time 04-Feb-09 19:31:49 GMT) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=140297252870)

We would be grateful if you could email the link to any 'geek' mates or industry contacts to help boost the pathetic 99p bid that tops the table at the moment!!

Best regards and it's good to be home!! (again!!)

Thank you!

Seems to be working as apparently 200 people watching this now! Hopefully, some of them will bid!

Cheers

Got an old X-Type harness (quick release box type) and belly wart reserve container to donate to H4H to auction if I can get it to the YooKay somehow.

I wonder if the several thousand 'Mr Kipling' mince pies which arrived at KKIA in 1990 just prior to GW1 are still languishing in the Sahara Airport Hotel annex?

I don't suppose they'd fetch much at auction.

If people turned up from other units, we'd say "Have a mince pie. In fact, have a box of them. No, make it a dozen bozes!"

Mr Kipling does make exceedingly good cakes. But he also makes b£oody lots of them

Not wishing to sound ungrateful but i was the recipient of one of said boxes this christmas last... it did pass an hour flicking through the nic naks and i have to say the sewing kit was pretty comprehensive but i do think that they would, without doubt put more of a smile on our faces if we were to recieve a bottle of malt, 200 tabs and a copy of Razzle........

Thank you for the £20.01!!! Will be in the post tomorrow!

I Have matched the £20.01 so £20.01 each for UK4u and H4H.

Personally speaking, the 'TAT' in the box put a smile on my face this Christmas and I'm grateful for it.

VR,
Judging by the sellers name on E-Bay, I assume it was the shortest of your lads that was doing the selling. Looking at some of his purchases, just what did he need a pair of "Illuminated Rear Grab Handles" for!;)

So the wife has something to hold on to and thereby preventing further incidents of falling off the love swing!!:ok:
