The purpose of advertising is to raise the profile of a product.
The fact that you mentioned the product on here shows that it is an effective advertisement.
There is nothing else to it.

Euughhh, freaky indeed.

and whats it got to do with chocolate?
What have any of their recent adverts had to do with chocolate? However, as you have decided to bring it up on a forum, it's only showing how effective it really is. Also think how many people will be turning to their friends and asking if they've seen the new Cadbury's advert.

Surely this one (http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=4Bbaq3YF3vk&feature=related)is more relevant...

You push the stick to rotate??!!

Within the last half hour I've said to 'er indoors that I'm desiring chocolate. Dangerous that. One transforms into a monster after chocolate one does.:E

Oh, and why do I have to turn AdBlock off to see these darn clips?

The eyebrow ad is just the follow on from the drum playing gorilla which was a superb ad but had flog all to do with choccy

I don't know so much about that eyebrow ad.
My kids get like that after they nick my Bournville Dark...:*

The connection in this ad is obvious. The girl's dress is the same colour as the chocolate wrapper.
And it would be SO bad taste to make any further comment!

Not only more relevant BH, but much more fun. It also explains what happened to my luggage on a flight last year.

nah, the world got cooled so much, in accordance with your speculations, that the laws of physics changed.

Hold on where's the heater?

BlooMoo
26th Jan 2009, 21:17
The heater is everywhere... and... nowhere. or can be, if you like, but only if you let your mind evolve and leave your petty worries of physical existence behind.

Ignore the Aspergers girl in the purple dress, medium term that may well result in negative sales growth for the manufacturer. Purple being the kind of colour that medical students think of the 1st time they pull intestines out of a cadaver. In this climate maybe play it safe is the play to take. Who knows?

Therefore, buy chocolate with or without a purple wrapper - just check it's just chocolate.

Clever Mr Cadbury, very clever.

Brilliant piece of Ad work which has generated desired response but tell me this; Are the kids actually working their own eyebrows or have the producers employed some computer wizardry?;)

Several decades back there was a 'bodybuilder' who performed (flexing his muscles) to music (wheels?).

Don't know if there's any video available.

Apart for a tab to speed up the latter stages, I should think that the movements are genuine.
However, I am more impressed by the sale of the big blocks of choccie for 1 at the local garage.
That gets me to buy, not this advert.

Hmmm, didn't notoce that melted bit on my....
