Looks like the perception that there are many qualified instructors out there is a myth...or are they landing the nice jobs somewhere else?

Just wondering...

Well, there are a few left... maybe...?
I started to instruct in airline environment in 1973...
Classroom first, then simulators, then the line, for pilots and flight engineers.
Retired 2 months ago. That is about 30-35 years of teaching.

Most airlines replace instructors with computers and training programs.
Just read the question, and answer correctly, or try again.
Computer and CDs are cheaper than instructors.
No instructors needed nowadays. Just read "Flying airplanes for Dummies".
Or get rated on a 737 "NG" - (stands for nerds and geeks).
