The NBAA (National Business Aircraft Association) board of governors just announced that the NBAA convention in New Orleans next week has been postponed/cancelled due to the terrorist act in New York and Washington. See www.nbaa.org. (http://www.nbaa.org.) This site also has to most up to date information on when aircraft will be able to operate in the CONUS airspace system.
This act was not taken due to fear of further terrorist acts but due to logistics. The major exhibitors could not guarantee that all of their employees and aircraft could be in place in time for the convention.
So if any Ppruners had any plans of going to the convention, don’t. I knew that some of you were going to be there and I was looking forward to meeting some of you.
Now I’m really mad. (Not that I wasn’t before.)
