Looking for a couple a nice comfortable seats for watching home movies in
my den.

I was told the best seats one can buy for comfort etc are the seat airlines
take out from first class when they are upgrading these cabins.

Can SKS tell me of any firm that sells these in uk and any tips/hints ?

TIA

The cost of a new F class seat (excluding the BA/SQ/UA etc 'private cabins') is close on £50,000 each. Even used, removed, seats are going for high prices - I looked at buying some of the old BA seats which had been traded in to Rumbolds (based in Camberley, Surrey) for the new private cabins - they wanted several grand each for them. I don't have their number to hand, but you should be able to find their contact details online or in the phone book.

Thanks Guvnr'

Gulp !!

It was a bit more than I thought of paying.

I guess its back to the bean-bag :-(

I live close to East Midlands Airport. I seem to recall that there are firms there that refurbise aircraft.

Perhaps they offload damaged seats that will not pass air-spec tests.

Just that I remember in my youth that various pop-groups fitted old aircraft seats in the Transits they used so they could sleep between venues.

Thanks again

Y class seats you can pick up no prob for mere pennies ... apparently much in vogue with caravanners. Give Rumbold a shout anyway - you might be pleasantly surprised!
