Good Day To All

My Questions Is ..... What Are The Rules , If Any, Concerning The Swap/ Interchange Of Elacs/sec On An A320-232 For Trouble Shooting Purposes
Is There Any Source Available On The Internet To Download Technical Directives On The Subject
Many Thanks

i would advise to check the MEL before swapping any computer. the operational consequences can vary depending on the computer and their position.
for example if you had a faulty ELAC 1 and swapped with ELAC 2 then if the fault appears on ELAC 2 during flight then the a/c would be AOG once it landed as the aircraft as the ELAC 2 is required for dispatch.

Just remember if the A/C is to perform an ETOPS flight, no suspected unit can be installed on that A/C

Swapping or Interchanging ELACs / SECs will not do any more for your troubleshooting than the BITE check will do. 99% of "soft" faults will clear with a simple switch off/on. Before getting too serious with the systems trya power down (To include batteries) for a full five minutes, then do a normal power up. Bet you it'll fix it. A unit failure is very rare.
