View Full Version : A 'heads up' for SOs

Guys & Gals,

Have heard a rather curious bit of info from the SO on a trip I did recently.
Apparently, there is some sort of move afoot by the company to change the date of SO's (previously obtained) 'Cat A' grading. It appears in some instances, this date is being shifted right by several months. Also, there maybe a letter referring to this in your mailbox.

I strongly suggest that any Cat A SO investigate this matter immediately, and contact the AOA if they feel this has been done. The cynic in me suggests that this is NOT being done in the SO's favour, and may be linked to a certain Labour Tribunal issue.:=

May you live in interesting times.

It might pay to print off the page in your training file, where it has the date you were cat A...

In CX ALWAYS make a copy of everything which has been written about you.

Shouldn't have to worry about printing off your training record page cause you get a letter dated when you reach CAT A anyway.

I think the point was that many have reached Cat A well before the aforementioned letter. :ok:

Sorry Yeager, No-Wai is actually right about this. Couple of my mates got the Cat A report in their ERAS and then all of a sudden 6 months later they changed the date on the report. Reason given: "Administrative error"

Don't really understand this argument...

I received the letter confirming my Cat A status (I'm an S/O) just 2 weeks ago...yet I have been receiving bypass pay since July last year.

Just wondering how the company's sinister agenda will be affecting me???

To current S/Os: any idea how long it will now be to the JFO upgrade, with the slowdown?

Three scenarios:

a) If the tribunal sides with NR; 3-4 years.
b) If the tribunal sides with the AOA, 18 - 24 months.
c) If, and I stress if, CX furloughs pilots in reverse seniority next week, time to JFO upgrade might be drastically reduced regardless of the tribunal. There will be a major RQ shortage.

Now place your betts.

So does that mean i should get motivated and actually do some study incase i get the nod for the upgrade interview?
 i was just settling in for the longhaul. Maybe i should back the tribunal leaning towards N.R :E
