Wx is pretty grim darn sarf - may have something to do with it?

Kenyan 738 on delivery diverted in there earlier when LHR was the original destination.

Living near Gatwick, I'm not aware of anything approaching bad weather, unless a/c are averse to mild dampness. Perhaps there's fog at LHR?

hi guys,

i know that alot of our 747 are in for heavy maintanince work this year and as a result the airbus will be covering alot of the 747 routes out of lhr/lgw/man etc.....so this is/wont be too much of surprise then really.

did you happen to get the flight number? if so go to the vs web page and find out which route it is on.

For those unable to decipher MET reports and forecasts, the visibility has been poor all day (400 metres the worst shown below) with very low cloud. It is forecast to improve from about 1600 onwards.

If you believe that as they say!

Yeah, there was two.

Both LHR diverts.

VS251 - A346 G-VGAS (PVG-LHR)
VS901 - A346 G-VFIZ (NRT-LHR)

Gatwick also had Fog earlier around 11:00 - 1230 ish with vis down to around 200-300 metres at times. Some aircraft got stand holds - due to low visibility delaying some departures slightly.

I also saw a VS A340 arriving at LGW around 1640 ish - Poss LHR divert?

It was a great sight and I would love to see more of them grace the tarmac ay MAN

I assume they diverted due to not having (enough) holding fuel. Anyone knows how long the EAT were in the thick of LVOs?
