Runway 10/28 is blocked around E6 area by emergency traffic. ATC have switched to runway 16. Seemed to have happened between 2130z and 2200z. Anyone else got more info?

Was out there earlier, just missed the landing and emergency.

A/C was Cityjet, with Air France livery, surrounded by service vehicles and two fire units.

A/C was straight on the runway facing in the 28 direction, NOT diagonally as previously mentioned.

All finished up around 23:30 as it was towed back to stand.

Emergency services were put on standby at Dublin Airport last night when a Cityjet plane got into serious difficulty while trying to land.

The flight from Paris experienced problems with its landing gear while approaching the airport just after 10pm.

The aircraft eventually managed to land safely with 88 passengers and four crew members on board.

The Air Accident Investigation Unit has launched an inquiry into the incident.

The AAIU where talking on the news today, said the nose wheel was turned to one direction or not straight on landing.

A/C was straight on the runway facing in the 28 direction, NOT diagonally as previously mentioned.

I was near the airport, in Swords, last night and thought 10 was the active around that time, although noticed what looked like a 16 departure later. Did they change ends for the WX arrival? Seemed a fairly calm night either way.

There is certainly more "space" beyond the threshold at the 10 end than the 28.

Either way, glad to hear it all ended OK.
