Hi all

Am curious as to the prospects of being female aircrew in China, is this firstly possible and if so is there anyone in this situation who can give me some insight?

I have been told there are jobs, but have also been told forget it if you are female?

All assistance appreciated!:8

We had a Swiss girl, errrr sorry lady, at my company but she has since moved on to greener pastures back home now (She was here for almost three years until she got pregnant).
Also the Chinese airlines are starting to recruit more and more female pilots through their cadetship programs. A few years ago there was a lot of news paper coverage about the first female pilots to start flying for China Southern. They all graduated from CAFUC as cadets and went on to fly A320. You can click the link to see pictures of the lovely ladies.

Also air china now has female pilots.

If you get the right company I don’t see a problem. You would not be the first foreign female pilot in China.

I think Juneyao in Shanghai has a Korean female FO.

I think Juneyao in Shanghai has a Korean female FO.

There should be at least one recently qualified local female F/O at Juneyao.
