The below is from the Crash.net web site

'Fernando Alonso and his wife have escaped uninjured from an aeroplane accident as the double Formula 1 World Champion tried to return from holiday in Kenya aboard his private jet.'...

'It was reported that shortly after take-off early on Sunday evening, the right wing of the plane struck a building, leading to the pilot momentarily losing control. The pilot was subsequently treated for shock, whilst all members on-board – including Raquel's sister and her partner – were able to exit the aircraft happily unscathed.'

Anyone know anything about this...if the wing struck a building after take off this really was a lucky escape. The event is reported very unsensationally...a pleasant change.

From Daily Nation (http://www.nation.co.ke/News/-/1056/510812/-/u1703q/-/index.html):

The jet’s left lower wing was damaged when it hit the wall as it taxied out of the parking lot.

Not worthy of news coverage.
