Yes, it's me. Qantas domestic have two part in the share revenue..

1. Qantas Airways
2. Qantaslink

Qantas Airways...they don't recruit any domestic at the moment instead they cut off lots of flight, more details it will be too long.;)

Qantaslink now is recruiting SYD base and the assessment day is 21st Jan in SYD, so if you are willing to be based in SYD just go to online application through www.qantas.com (http://www.qantas.com) and click on career then go to qantaslinks links again.

You must do that online thingee first then they will let you know whether you are invited or not.

The benefit is different regarding staff travel benefit etc.. but not to worry coz now Qantas Airways try to push the old crew to take the new contract and new condition at the moment so go for Qantaslink it won't hurt.

The pay will awards rate but to tell exactly how much per hr. I have to find out from the crew. But of course it will be some laoding involved. I think the staff benefit will be different but to compare with the new contract with Qantas Airways It won't be much different when you weight with the hour you have to work.

I know you are in MEL, but if you want to go for international airline. It won't hurt to start growth in the industry. Be mindful that if you want to work with EY or EK you will have to be away from home and family, friends etc... so might be a good idea to get use to it, and you will be more comfortable when you have a big interview day.:p

By the way, I'm catching up with my friend from AUH tonight and will take her around coz she has 48hrs layover so I might be away from my laptop for sometime but I will try to reply when I can, I got wireless internet. You have a think about it. Do what you feel like to do, trust your feeling is the best.;)

yeh i am based in melbourne but my family is actually in adelaide. i was hoping to start off with domestic first then see how i go... I have always wanted to be a flight attendant and now that i have been living in melbourne for 6 years, I am starting to want to spend more time with my family in adelaide. so this may give me more time in adelaide as i only go home once or twice a year.
i dont really know anyone in the industry, but from what I have heard, apparently VB pays better!

Not wanting to contradict you, courters, but I was at a VRD in December for SYD base and was told ground school would most likely be in March.
