I was wondering which aircraft has an EFB? I know of a few, but if someone can correct me that'd be much appreciated.
B737-400 - No
B737-800 - In the process of getting it
B767-300 GE and RR - No
B747-300 - No (they're almost gone, if not gone now)
B747-400 (incl OEB, OEC and OED) - Not that I know of
B747-400ER - Maybe, I'm not sure
A330-200/300 - Yes
A380 - Yes
also B787 when it eventually gets here

The only QF a/c that currently have EFBs are- the A380.

767 - has been purchased
A380 - Not being used. Still using paper

i thought recent tech newsletter said 767 wasnt going to get EFBs any more.... either to hard or costs to much. QFs 767 will remain the most technologically challenged fleet. No satphone, no GPS (aside fm t,u,v), old unreliable IRSs falling over quite often....., unloved, multiple hold items, MELs....no spare parts...EAs and ADs galore.

Will have to search the regs but my understanding is that the governing body concerned (in this case the CASA) generally implements a trial / phase out period of the paper docs to the EFB. That can be up to 12 months. So, it's not a case of throwing them in and away we go, as per the Flying Dugong (A380).
Trust me, it's a great tool but can also be frustrating due processor speed and actually finding what you want, when you want it quickly (SOP's, FCOM stuff.....) Performance tool is fantastic. My experinece is 777 based.
Just my 2 cents: For me you can't beat flicking through paper documents. My experience has been that those who haven't studied the paper docs on the ground will find the EFB even more difficult to navigate.

Sorry TopTup, I should clarify. On the 380, the EFB is being used for everything (FCOM, FAM, EP, Performance Calcs etc), everything except for approach and departure plates. The image size of the plates is not quite large enough to be usable. When Airbus have sorted out the resolution then it will be used fully.
Yeh, I agree, you can't beat paper.
