HI

I'm building a sim and i'm trying to find used cessna parts in Australia. Geting them in the U.S. is cheap enough however the freight is stupid.
e.g. c172 master switch, yokes, peddals (cost $195 US)
freight ($385 us)

So does anyone know of any aviation wreckers, slavage yard, BONEYARDS in Australia.

My bet is the parts in the USA will be much cheaper than those sourced from Australia even including shipping.

Have you asked for surface mail shipping? Surely $385 is for airmail shipping?

You will always get parts cheaper in the US than here. You need to ask the other end to send the parts USPS, which is the United States Postal Service and is cheap, reliable and quick (about 5-8 days ). I have bought many parts from the US and have never had a problem with USPS. Hope this helps.:ok:

Would be cheaper to buy a return ticket to the US and take an empty suitcase.. And get a holiday out of it.. And check ebay(the US one)
