Hi All
just wondering what everyone else uses to find little out of the way airstrips around our beautiful country?
From research there are two options;
1. the AOPA national airfield directory
2. the country airstrip guide (hard copy or electronic)
Looking forward to hearing from everyone. :)

The only problem with the AOPA Guide (unless they've now changed it) is no diagram. CAG gives a diagram which I always find particularly useful.

The latest 2008/2009 AOPA guide has no runway diagram, but it does tell you runway orientation.

I bought the 2008/9 AOPA one as I'm on the front cover, at the Grampians.

Not advertising here (mods please note) but with over 2,800 entries we don't have room at present for diagrams. It would probably add 1/3 to the current size. We give runway headings, from which you should be able to create a mind picture.
Having said that, we are always open to suggestions, so please go ahead. We are about to begin the process of revision for the 2010 edition, and it would be very helpful to know the reasons why people don't buy it.
