Non.

The Jones Air vid was an AWESOME display of Ag flying set to Powderfinger's
"These Days".

I have it on disc... I will send it to you and Jaba.

Problem with the Jones Air vid is that you just can't out-do them (legally!) in any other field of GA...

Formation spraying at 6' AT NIGHT.... :ok:

I'm sure there was a longer version that had much more night spraying.

Thats the video, and while not sure of the length, it looks the same. The link I had has been removed, and this is a different poster.

Horatio.....will PM you the address :ok:

flog, just watched the one in the link above and I'm sure you are right. I think the original has been edited down a bit.

There was a shot of them doing formation spraying at night, filmed from a third plane chasing from behind and slightly higher that I didn't notice in this new edit.

Maybe there was some pressure to edit out some of the 'good bits'.

Cheers.

Hey, just on the off chance, does anyone know whether Dave Williams is still around in St George for the Jones. He was there doing maintenance for them some years ago

Just blew the dust off a VHS copy of this that was stuffed into the cupboard, hooked up the now decommissioned video player and found there was a slight difference, but nothing too major.
Thanks for reminding me of the vid jaba, aint seen it in donkeys.

Its been a while since I have seen that one, and I still can not see any evidence of elevator input. I can only assume it had a tech problem and that was the best they could do using thrust alone:uhoh:.

Anyone know the real story?

ahhhhhhhh...........because you have done it before??? :}

Not sure about that, I think the fact a camera was rolling, and no visible elevator or go around, it must have been expected. the last few seconds must have been a fun ride!:eek:

Dunno there 'jaba' he had elevator control at the first instance due the rapid change in the A/C's flightpath at the start of the roundout. The pilot looked to me as though he/she was carrying too much speed & the plane basicly kept flying due to the wing being presented to the airflow at a sufficient AofA to fly after each succesive bounce, 'till gravity finally won. Great clip though. Saw a similar thing not too long ago with a C172 at a country AD, am sure we have all bounced something like that during the early years:-)
The night spray vid? fantastic but simply NUTS they are!:}

p.s..............'ABX' was in yr 'town' the other night around 1am, didn't see you out at the AD leaning up against the fence watching planes:E

Hi
My name is Ken and I am the guy that actually filmed all of the shots in the Jones Air Video. That edit wasn't done by me and it is very good., however I think it may have some copyright issues.
Been retired for 11 years now and would dearly love a copy of that product to show my grandkids.
If you can help I would love to hear from you to see how this might be achieved
Cheers

That one's already gone, to quote Powderfinger.

But here's another copy of it! here's another copy of it!

Thanks for that.
There is a video around called "Towards 14001 - The Jones Air experience". It was widely distributed in Australia (in VHS) at the time of making and to a lesser extent, overseas.
It was filmed by me and edited by my work colleague.
This is where most of the raw footage for the Jones Air video came from. It was recorded using DVCAM format.
I would love to obtain a hi-definition copy if such a thing exists.
I notice that JARBA was mentioned in previous threads. I was also the guy who filmed that for Peter Jones and it was also edited by my colleague.
I only have a VHS copy of the original.
