If you see a fat man
Who's jolly and cute
Wearing a beard and a red flannel suit
And if he is chuckling and laughing away
And flying around in a miniature sleigh
With eight tiny reindeer to pull him along
Well then let's face it
You're pissed

Merry Xmas, and a happy 2009

Rumour has it that Santa needs RVSM approval this year since the sack is a lot lighter (due to financial reasons) so hes cruising at a higher level.
The reindeer are more efficient up there too so its good for the environment.

CASAs been holding up the approval though..typical!

Merry Christmas:ok:

Maybe Santa should have taken head of the economic downturn and put his RVSM application in a bit earlier!

Just as Santa is finishing loading up his sleigh with pressies and doing the final checks on the reindeer, he notices a dubious looking character in a trench coat making a line for him across the tarmac.

The man presents Santa with his CASA i.d. and informs Father Christmas he is subject to a ramp check. So Santa, accommodating the inspectors every demand, presents his license, weight and balance, freight manifest and maintenance release. Keen for a Christmas Eve bust, the inspector goes through Santa’s paperwork with a fine tooth comb but, alas, all was in order.

The persistent inspector then informs Santa he intends to come along to conduct a check ride. Santa, looking at his watch, agreed and gestures for the inspector to come aboard the sleigh. Taking off his trench coat, the inspector reveals a double barrel shotgun.

“What’s with the shotgun?” a confused Santa asked.

“Well, I’m not supposed to tell you this ahead of time. But seeing as its Christmas, I’ll give you a heads up – you’re gonna lose an engine on takeoff”

Dear Guys @ girls
Another one down, almost.
Isn,t this a really **** time of year.? Works slowing, mortgage is increasing, Pressure to succeed once again is overwhelming.
Lets face it, unless your with your family xmas sucks.
Even if you are you,ll eventually take offence at Uncle Brians sexist jokes.?
If you don,t you,ll just fill yourself full of good cheer and hope for the best, which always ends up tradgic.
To all my fellow pruners, i can honestly say i,ve had my share of scares this year. Hit a tree spraying, Out did the density altitude rules. And still woke up alive. Thats the fun part.!
But honestly who,s working? who,s holding the fort for all who have to endure the pain and loneliness of this really crap time of year.
Xmas sucks

It's a terrific time of year but not for all. A happy silly season to those in here that have ridden along with me in all the topics that have created anguish, even to you Mods:).
Please remember though if yr out & about over xmas do us folk in the emergency services game a fav, stay alert we have families too whom we want to go home to some time. Working the grave yard shift (which I am over the next few nights) isn't fun in fact it's probably the worst time of year this next week or so for us. I take my hat off to those emerg services guys who do it tough at the 'coal face', they need a special tnxs:D:D
Flying is a great activity & lets keep it that way, even Santa flies so we know how he feels:)

I wanna see you ALL back here bouncing off the walls next year here in PPRUNE, the place where if nothing else you get to learn something & we can always learn in this fragile game.

cheers

Wmk2:ok:

p.s.............Capt Wally also sends his wishes to you all, accept the Mods:E

To all pruners, A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS! It's been an interesting year for us all and hope the next is equally as interesting.

So, may your dams be full, your skies clear and smoother than an androids bottom. Tailwinds and clearances expedited:ok:

Safe flying to us all.

Now if that turkey will just cook a little quicker, I can get a couple of hours in the sack before the kids start on the presies:}

And a good xmas to all out there in aviation land:)
Not a good xmas for all though I see. Some sad news I read about 2 people no longer with us by way of Aircraft accidents. What's even sader is the the way a few are handling themselves in those threads pertaining to the accidents. Aviation, am fast learning brings out the worst in some:sad:
