I just looked at deliveries on Airbus website and it states that there have been 6 A380 deliveries to SQ to date, but when I look on SQ website, I can't quite see where those 6 A380's are going to. As far as I can tell the following is the situation:

1. One plane Daily to Sydney
2. Two planes daily to London
3. Two planes daily to Tokyo

Where does the other one fly to?

With their dismal dispatch reliability, they must be cannibalising one of them for parts.

one to Sydney
one to Tokyo
four to london, sometimes three if one is down

Don't know where you are getting your information from but SIA report that the reliability has been the best of any new aircraft they have ever had.

You don't believe what the Airline spin doctors say do you?

I get my information from the horse's mouth. The best EIS in the history of the airline was the B777. The dispatch reliability of the A380 is not good at all considering it's been in service for already a year and that any teething problems should already have been sorted out. You should have heard by now of the kind of APDs the aircraft are returning - even the newly delivered ones.

Doesn't look very good right now. And the "best twin in the world" that the engines loose power on their own in short final!! I'll stick to the 330.

Like the auto industry, you yanks dont realise people moved ahead of you years ago, just look at toyota vs the us auto industry. sad to hear. Boeing and Abus both does great products but its hard for arrogant yanks to swallow. Get used to it or join GWB on his retirement.

IN FACT IS:

Boeing is not showing experience trying to copy Airbus way of building aircraft and transporting it, making even a B747 based transport for it. Airbus developed this system for years and perfected it. Boeing is still trying to fly the B787 for the first time.

That "EXPERIENCE" is not what Airbus should be looking up to.

Followers, NOT leaders, just explain why it took them until the B777 and now the B787 to incorporate FBW in their commercial aircraft......again, FOLLOWERS!!!!!

Dear G, cool down:), just to remain you, you will be not in your A330 cockpit right now flying the side stick or auto thrust, or you not be a pilot if you never fly single engine before to get your license means if nobody start making an commercial airplane there will be no commercial airplane in the air today, just like there will be no number 3number 2 or number 1 and fortunately BOEING was the first company that made an commercial airplane, if you remember the first aircraft was a piston engine:{, the other FOLLOWERS!!!!! just try to make it better and better, but still somebody have to start with it without the B707 there will be no B747, and if Airbus doesn't know that wing and fuselage can fly, they will not be able to make aeroplane like they made today:ugh: so be carefull if you fly remember BOEING:ok:

one more thing! im not taking sides here ( boeing or airbus )

but guiones, FWB is old stuff in Boeing. Airbus was the first to incorporate in a commercial liner true.. but the technology has long been used in Boeings Military Programs.

again B777 is the best for me, and the Airbus 320 is one fo the best too.. But I wouldnt mind if my company would give me a A380 or B787 training. Im not crazy enough to decline someting like that.. Irregardless of the company..

Boeing will be boeing and AirBus will be AirBus.

If not, pilots will be bored silly flying one ideology.

HOw can we appreciate short / simple checklist if we're not burdened by
long ECAM action , paper-checklist , flight-patterns, resetting CBs.

Lets enjoy diversity.:ok:

Guys

such things is more like for airliners.com

A vs B. I dun really care, so long as I fly and get paid.

If no boeing, u not going to London? well, now there is still a daily 744 service from SIN to LHR from SQ. but their days in SQ are surely numbered.
