Capacity reduction - Lufthansa from Korea

I don't fly Lufthansa myself but a colleague has just been told that he has been bounced from his Seoul-Frankfurt flight on 16 December as Lufthansa have withdrawn their Seoul-Munich flights until March next year.

Are other airlines similarly reducing flights?

Edit: it seems he meant that 6 (of the 14) flights a week had been withdrawn.

Yes, they are.

Some are cancelling whole routes, others odd flights here and there(or some combination therefof).

It's going to get worse.
