There are outfits looking for pilots to be based in Baghdad.

Does anyone have any information on the safety of operating in and out of Baghdad airport? What safety precautions are taken for aircraft security?

What other airlines are making passenger flights into Baghdad?

What are the living conditions and safety if based in Baghdad? How do you safely get between the Airport and the Green Zone? Are there good living quarters at the airport?

If you have first hand information I would appreciate hearing from you.

You could also enquire in the African forum, some of the hardier specimens there have good experience.

wouldn't be too concerned about operating in and out Baghdad.
I would be very concerned about living in Baghdad or commuting between the green zone and the airport..

Spend the entire spring there before quitting. It's very rough, high turnover. Accommodations are a temporary BOQ on the airport premises, constant jet noise, extensive pat down checks by gay Iraqi security guards, filth, bad water and food.Pay is good, but I wouldn't go back.
