I don't know if this qualifies as nostalgia, but does anyone know of any DC-8 aircraft in passenger configuration that are still either airworthy or operating?

I know there are plenty of cargo aircraft but I was wondering if any passenger aircraft are still around?

Maybe not pure pax, but ATI operates several pax/freight combis

Thanks ferrydude. I read something about there still being one or two aircraft operating privately in VIP config. Can't find anything specific online though.

I think Adnan Kashoggi's DC-8-62 may still be operating somewhere??

ohhh, I was thinking configured for airline pax. Jet Aviation and Saudi Aramco

both used to operate them in corporate config, don't know if they still do.

Then there is NASA

Thank you both for the information, very helpful.

I expected that there would be none remaining in full airline config, thanks for confirming that ferrydude.

Kashoggi's DC8 was converted to a freighter at least 15 years ago......

Late '80s, his DC-8-73 was parked at Bournemouth with care and maintenance being done by FR Aviation.
In 1990 I saw it in service with Connie Kalitta at Willow Run, Detroit.
Not sure if it is still flying though.

Bung in a search for VP-BHM, should come up with a VIP DC8. Has been into MSE a few times to the CAS hangar.
