Was out in the garden yesterday (sunday 30/11) around 1110am,looked around and coming from the direction of MAN was what appeared to be an Emirates A330 very low and very quiet.just after passing me (in huddersfield) it turned right,i wasn't sure if it was inbound or outbound as it appeared to be flying straight and level. can anyone confirm a/c type and anyone know why it would be so low over huddersfield.we do get inbounds and outbounds occasionally going POL/Rosun or whatever but this seemed a very strange track.

A6-EBF 773 on UAE17. The track was unusual but a TNT 146 was returning with major electrical failure.

Track from openatc has straight in approach break off about 13 miles out and then do a long right hand orbit over your place. Then back again for a left hand orbit North of Oldham until finally approaching from North for 8 mile final.

That 'Hold' sounds a long one?

I would have thought the A330 would have stayed in the 'Stock' area, Didn't think TNT flew on a Sunday morning?

Wasn't exactly a hold, the track looks more like an elongated approach with an orbit. :\

The TNT 146 was a Sat am LPL div that stayed until Sunday. Departure to Dublin then return on PAN emergency. Eventually got away 1423.

(Emirates was the normal 773)

UNDERTHEROSUN1FWas outside mending the lads bike when this circled overhead.
Very unusual circuit heading towards Wakefield then banking round to Man

That would be great, boot the 330 to the night flight and get my 777-300 to a reasonable time to see it come in etc:ok:
