All aircraft operating out of, into or even just through the Avalon CTA (whether the latter is active or not!) are required to make broadcasts according to that instrument, which states that a CA/GRS will be operating there outside tower hours. Starting Dec 1.
This was published as an 'instrument' which I picked up by accident as I recently subscribed to the CASA email notification service.
No mention of it in the current ERSA or in NOTAM, where it surely belongs.
Are all pilots supposed to know about all applicable instruments? I thought keeping up with changes in the AIP, ERSA procedures, and to a lesser degree (for day to day ops) changes in CAO's/CAR's, was complex enough, what are the bureaucrats in Canberra thinking? :ugh:
