For those misguided individuals among you who believe a Baron is the bees knees.

Now that's what i call rocket science. Very cool indeed...
But ... does it worth the additional price tag?

Don't know abut a turbine Baron, but a turbine Duke, now that would be a machine...:ok:

The P-Baron turbine conversion will replace the B-58P’s original Lycoming
520 piston engines

Don't know if i trust a company to strap a couple of 500 SHP puppy's to an aeroplane that they do not even know what the engines they are replacing are :eek:

I would have thought the turbine Bonanza or esp the turbine Malibu/Mirage a better bet!:ok:

HH, tinnie posted a piccie of a turbine Duke here about 12 months or so ago. Absolutely beautiful. :ok: As usual, a company in the US doing the conversions.:}

Most piston powered aircraft don't look good with a turbine but the Duke looked as though it was made for it. Sex with wings it was.;)

I don't know the price, but I reckon it would take more than your average lotto win to be able to afford one!:{

What do ya reckon "HH"? we do all the 'granny' runs in one of those turbine dukes? Have to be walkers only though:ok:
What a sexy beast with looks to kill, with enough money in hand one could almost forget the saying ."if it flies, floats or F***s then rent it":E

The only thing I don't like about any Beech is they stayed with the column sticking out of the panel like the smaller simple SE planes. Now had they had a column from floor level that would have made them look/feel like a real mini airliner. The PA42 got it right in that department & even the AC50.

You will not!
All the Dukes i came across with operated by owner/pilots. It is a bit of a personal get there quick sort of private toy.
It is like buying a Lamborghini and hire someone to drive it.
Very cosy interior, similar to a Baron. The last time i flew one it took me good 10 minutes to get in the cockpit and get comfortable and i am only 6 feet. Once you are in there you do not want to get out though...:)
Love the thing.... it's a Beechcraft :cool:
