Plane makes emergency landing in Sweden

18/11/2008 - 09:05:12
A plane with 63 people on board lost air pressure after an object hit its windshield and was forced to make an emergency landing at Sweden’s Landvetter airport, officials said today.

Civil aviation spokeswoman Birgitta Eckermark said the Avro RJ 100 jet landed safely at the airport outside Gothenburg in southern Sweden.

She said none of the 59 passengers or four crew members were injured in the incident.

The Brussels Airlines flight was on its way to Brussels in Belgium from Stockholm’s Bromma airport.

Eckermark said the pilot reported seeing an object crash against the window and decided to turn around and make an emergency landing after cabin pressure started to fall.

If he was out of Bromma and had to "turn round" to land at Landvetter, he must have been at or about cruise altitiude. Be interesting to know what he hit.

So what are the choices according to the historical odds?

Couldn't be bothered to be honest, I don't post much, I'm mainly a reader on here.
