A Transaero Airlines Boeing 747-400, flight UN542 from Goa (India) to Moscow Domodedovo (Russia) with 356 people on board, was taxiing onto the departure runway, when it's right wing clipped the tail of a Thomas Cook Airbus A330-300, registration EC-KCP thought to perform flight MT67L from Goa to London Gatwick,EN (UK). Both aircraft were immediately evacuated, no injuries have been reported.

The Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation DGAC has opened an investigation into the accident.

A spokesman for the airport said, that both airplanes are currently grounded. Engineers will examine the airplanes on Monday.

Iberworld was moving to another stand i believe. Mo passengers onboard. It's winglet sliced the rear of the 747 fuselage in the region of the APU, then damaged the tail spoiler too before coming to stop with it embedded in the spoiler

Thank you very much flyboyTC. Hard to believe things like that would happen and planes would be grounded. Was anyone escorting the 330? And nobody could see it coming?
